What is Dementia Care?
React Homecare can deliver Dementia care that allows your loved one to stay independent within the comfort of their own home. Dementia affects more than 850,000 people in the UK, and the impact on you and your loved ones receiving a diagnosis of Dementia can be overwhelming and worrying. You may be unsure how to handle the behaviours and situations, as Dementia is a disorder of the mental processes caused by brain disease, and the effects for those with the illness can be significant.
Initiating a conversation regarding the need of care can be challenging for both parties. To support you through this journey, we provide trained and experienced Carers that will be there every step of the way.
We aim to support your loved one and reduce the effects and symptoms of Dementia that your loved one may face. We can help support by providing a consistent routine, familiar surroundings and compassionate Carers that tailor care to your loved ones needs. We strongly believe that seeing a friendly and familiar face on every visit is essential and we will work with you to ensure the routines are incorporated into a bespoke Dementia Care Plan that can be routinely followed.
What can we do to help?
Our Carers are trained to notice early changes and act accordingly to ensure safety and wellbeing are prioritised and dealt with in a timely manner. Where possible, we involve the care recipient as we promote independence, empowerment and choice, balanced with managing risks safely. Your loved one will have a small pool of Carers assigned to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
